About Me​

 

Hi Everyone!

I'm excited to read all your bios and learn more about you all. I was born in Grand Island, NE as Wendy Reese, I then lived in Michigan and Arizona as Wendy Jeffords and finally in November of 2005 I became Wendy D'Anna. We currently live in the DC area. I have four kids. I single mom'd with my first two after realizing I was better off that way. Olivia is 32, lives in Phoenix, works for United Airlines and enjoys flying all over the world. DeAndre is 29, lives in Fairfax, VA and is soon to be married in May of 2025.

 

My husband Matt and I have 2 boys, Rocco (16) and Roman (14). They like their hair, clothes, video games, basketball, friends and girls. I am useful for buttering toast and providing clean laundry.

 

I graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Women's Studies and Religious Studies. (Yes, it's weird but it helped me make sense of a childhood in a high demand religion.) After moving to DC, I completed my

Masters Degree in Social Work. I spent my career working in the child welfare system and then in Early Intervention but decided I wanted to be home with my kids and I quit the chaos. I have never once missed the constant eye twitch that developed in this high stress career! Might do something PT soon. Missed my calling as a librarian...I love books!

 

Matt has a few degrees but his latest is a PhD in Criminology. He works for a government contractor and teaches part time at American University and George Mason University. We love to travel are looking forward to celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary in

Switzerland and Northern Italy next year.
