I was born Aug. 9, 1978 in Grand Island, NE. I lived there until going to Lincoln, NE for college and I just never ended up going anywhere else. I guess the thing about Nebraska has been it’s where family has been. Between the Reese and French families, my brother (Eric, presumably you’ll meet him later in whatever Mom is creating here) and I always had both sets of grandparents nearby. This meant that holiday gatherings and family reunions would usually come to us.   

 

I’ve spent most of my professional career at a place called Nelnet. I’ve held multiple roles with the most current being a compliance analyst with a small team reporting to me. The place honestly isn’t that meaningful to me (I’m always a month away from a commitment to start looking for a career change), but I’ve met and worked with people that have been important to me, so I guess that’s what keeps me there. 

 

I’ve never been married and have no kids, so we’ll see if that is in store for me in the future. I’m pretty sure I’ve already had my mid-life crisis and didn’t do anything crazy there, but I’m thinking I’m about due to try and shake things up in a way that scares me and makes me want to throw up, but is also exciting.  We shall see what that ends up being.
