About Me

I was born on a frosty Tuesday (one of the worst days of the week in my opinion) at 2:57 a.m. in Farmington, NM.  I do not remember living in New Mexico or Colorado when I was young.  Soon enough, without my knowing how, I ended up in Allen, TX.  My grandparents didn’t live far so we were never far from family.  There were lots of endeavors in Texas, lots of almost drowning in swimming pools, standing in ant piles, running around barefoot, going to elementary school, and some middle school.

Due to many reasons, my family decided to head to a small town called Paonia in Colorado.  Being the 13 year old I was, I had a melodramatic moment thinking how my life might be over.  But it wasn’t.  Paonia opened up a multitude of opportunities. Because we moved, I got to have several jobs including Backpack Outfitting for middle school girls, youth Summer Camp, Wilderness Trail Crew for the US Forest Service, and muraling.  I got to experience farming and small town living.  Because we were broke too, I got to attend Fort Lewis College on Scholarship.  After changing my mind too many times, I settled on the major of Environmental Conservation and Management.  I’ve just finished up a season as a Dispersed Rec Crew Member in the Eagle-Holy Cross Ranger District and I’m on the path to graduate college in the Spring of 2025.
