About Me

I was born May 16, 1948 in Grand Island, Nebraska.  I lived in the country just outside of town.  I went to a one room school house from Kindergarten to the 7th grade.  Yes, I walked a mile to school but not up or down a hill, Nebraska is flat.  I was a tom boy until I was forced to grow up.  I attended “town school” in the 8th and 9th grade. It was very difficult to adjust to such a “big school” as well as so many kids.  I was very shy and quite backwards (naïve).  Thank goodness a rural high school (Northwest High School) was built where “my kind of kids” attended.  I blossomed and became very outgoing and had the opportunity to be part of many school activities.

After high school I went to Kearney State College for a semester.  I decided that wasn’t for me and would rather go to work and receive a paycheck for my efforts.  My first job was a long distance telephone operator then supervisor for Northwestern Bell in Grand Island.

About a year later I met and married Terry DeBusk.  We had an incredible son, Cory James but divorced before long.  I went to work at Redman to support Cory and myself.  That is where I met Jim Reese.  He asked me out on a date and that was the beginning of a new life.   I was smitten.  I found the love of my life who came from an incredible family.  I was not unfamiliar with a family with a lot of boys as Terry had 4 brothers so I felt quite at home.

After a year or so Jim had a job offer in Newton, Kansas.  I followed and we married soon after. We lived in Newton from 1975 to 1977.  I worked a couple of different office jobs until Jim was promoted to general manager at the Denver facility.  We moved to Aurora, Colorado where Jim adopted Cory and we had an awesome daughter Jamie Ann, the sweetest girl ever.  The kids grew up in Colorado where I stayed at home for a while, worked part time for a while, then full time.  Jim was transferred to California where I found a job that fit me perfectly.  I was a business analyst for Anritsu, a Japanese company.  However, I did not like living in a small town again so we managed to stay only from 1999 to 2001.  Then we were Texas bound working for the same companies.

We lived in Coppell then McKinney, Texas until we retired in 2013.  In 2014 we moved to Robson Ranch and are enjoying the good life.  I enjoy many friends, reading and woodworking as well as various other activities.  In 2025 we will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and live happily ever after.
