Geographical history:

 

Kearney, NE

My only memory, and landmark event in Kearney was riding a tricycle down a flight of stairs. I know Bob was there so I might have been pushed.

 

Wood River, NE

Lived in Wood River through kindergarten, memories include a pregnant pinto horse, Junior the Cocker Spaniel, a really cool Gambles semi truck toy and coloring the outside of the Graper’s house. Moved to North Platte, NE in 1957.

 

North Platte, NE 1957 - 1965

North Platte was the primary time frame for most of the Reese tales recounted in "They Got Out" with which you are familiar. 1st grade through 6th at Cody Grade School, yup the one Bob pushed me off of, sounds like a recurring theme there. 7th grade at Adams Junior High, maturity begins to set in, from straight A's at Cody to straight "who cares" at Adams. Moved to Grand Island late summer 1964.

 

Grand Island, NE 1965 - 1975

8th and 9th grade at Barr Junior High School. These 2 years were dedicated to being a better brother to Trudy and Mark, a very special time. Graduated from Grand Island High School in 1969 and started making life defining decisions. After missing out on the Viet Nam draft (thank you Pres Nixon for the lottery), I met, courted and married Jan Earnest, started what turned into a career at Redman Industries, manufacturing mobile homes, and had a daughter, Wendy Renee. Worked my way into the purchasing office at Redman, got a divorce and drank a lot until I met your aunt Pat. Got a job offer in Newton, KS and took it and moved to Kansas.

 

Newton, KS 1975 - 1977

Married Pat and brought her and Cory into the Reese clan. Worked as buyer for Guerdon Industries,  changed jobs to Kevco Inc. selling plumbing to mobile home mfgs. Was offered and accepted Branch Manager position with Kevco in Denver.

 

Denver, CO 1977 - 1999

Adopted Cory as my son, added Jamie to the clan, professionally survived 2 different buy outs and ended up with Coast Distribution. Eventually transferred to Morgan Hill, CA Corp office as VP of sales.

 

Morgan Hill, CA 1999 - 2001

As VP of sales I was responsible for 14 US and 4 Canadian locations, tasked with entry into mass markets working with large retailers like Ace Hardware, Walmart, TruValue, Target and the casual furniture markets. In 2001 left CA for Texas.

 

Ft Worth, TX 2001 - today

Spent 6 more years traveling the country before ending my career with Coast. Not ready to retire, worked 5 years selling commercial lightning protection, retired in 2013. In 2014 moved to our home at Robson Ranch and picked up my long neglected softball career on a tournament team
