About Me​

I was born in Grand Island Nebraska on Nov. 25,1969 to Patrica Starkey. She married James Reese in 1975 and I was adopted into the Reese family in 1978. We moved to Newton, KS when I was in kindergarten and then Aurora, CO in 1st grade. My second grade year was in a suburb called Mission Viejo, still in Aurora. In 1978, my sister Jamie was born.

I attended Smokey Hill High school in Aurora, CO and graduated in 1988. After seeing a future of dead end jobs ahead of me I decided to go to college.  I attended Fort Lewis College from 1990-94 and graduated with a B.A.

After graduation I married my college sweetheart Heidi Noel Pelton on January 6, 1995. Being totally clueless we ended up in Farmington, NM where I managed a bike shop from 1996-2000. In 2000 we decided to start a family and I started a job in the cable industry with TCI then ATT then Comcast then (Colorado Springs) Adelphia then (Texas) Verizon then laid off in 2009.

In 2001 Calvin James Reese was born then in 2003 Sienna Renee Reese was born. 

In 2004 we moved to Colorado Springs, but wanting to be by family, we moved to Allen, TX in 2005. 

In 2009 Heidi and I both were laid off and decided to become teachers, and both of us landed a job at Allen High School. I was an AP Art teacher from 2010-2017.

In 2017 we moved to Paonia, CO. I built, with my own hands, the house we live in today. We have an organic tomato business on our property that currently produces over 1000 lbs of tomatoes for our local market. I also have a job tending to the facilities at SEI (a solar training school) where Heidi also works.
